Cone Flower

A new, slightly later flowering variety of coneflower which has recently been given the Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. It has an upright habit which wont need to be staked and pretty pinky- purple flowers from late July into the autumn. Great for planting in a moist but well-drained, sunny border. Like all coneflowers, this variety is very hardy and can cope will with adverse weather conditions too.Position: full sunSoil: any soil type except boggyRate of growth: average Flowering period: July to September Flower colour: pinky-purpleOther features: excellent cut-flowers; attractive to butterflies and beesHardiness: fully hardyGarden care: Lift and divide congested colonies in autumn or spring.
