Cow Parsley

A clump forming biennial or short-lived perennial that has attractive clusters of creamy-white flowers with small pink bracts. These appear from late spring to summer and are highlighted by the dark purple foliage. Cow parsley is perfect for wild gardens or meadows as they self seed quite freely unless you remove the spent flower heads.Position: full sun or partial shadeSoil: well-drained soilRate of growth: fast Flowering period: May to July Flower colour: creamy-whiteOther features: dark foliage contrastHardiness: fully hardyGarden care: Support with brushwood or link stakes in spring before the flowers appear. In autumn cut it back to just above ground level and apply a generous layer of mulch around the roots.
